PRESS RELEASE
The www.prevenire.gov.ro portal dedicated to public information on the prevention mechanism set up by the Prevention Act and managed by the Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, has become operational.
“The www.prevenire.gov.ro portal is the tool that brings together all the principles of the Prevention Law, a business law that we expect to change the perception of state- entrepreneur relationship. We are not in antagonistic positions. We are partners, and this law is just a first step in modernizing the act of control, increasing entrepreneurship education and collaborative compliance. By creating and managing this platform, the Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship strengthens its role as a partner for Romanian and foreign entrepreneurs, providing them with the best solutions for business development in Romania”, said Minister Ștefan Radu Oprea at the launch of the information platform on offences covered by the Prevention Act.
As such, both economic operators and natural persons have direct, non-discriminatory and transparent access to information about the rights and obligations of persons subject to control activities, as well as about the powers of the authorities finding the offences and enforcing sanctions.
The portal ensures the prevention mechanism, while providing authorities responsible for controlling, finding and sanctioning offences with the access to the joint platform for the dissemination of documentary materials and good practice guidelines in the abovementioned areas.
Approximately 400 offenses, covered by 70 normative acts, are aimed at the responsibilities of 11 ministries, as well as of some public institutions with regulatory and control duties, which are subordinated to and coordinated by the said ministries. The Ministry for the Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship Environment is the integrator of such offences proposals.
