Romanian presence at CeBIT Australia 2018

Romania participated for the first time at the most important exhibition event dedicated to the IT&C industry, CeBIT Australia 2018, held in Sydney on 15-17 May, being the only European presence under the national flag at the fair.

Seven Romanian companies in the field of information technology and communication presented their products and software services within Romania’s pavilion, organized by the Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with ATIC – Association for Information Technology and Communications.

ElSaco Solutions, Evo Automation, GreenSoft Ltd., Ingenios.ro, Ropardo, Tellence Technologies and Uipath have exhibited a wide range of software products and services – ERP, CRM, POS, GIS, and eHealt Telecom solutions, Security, SatCom, Financial and mobile solutions, IoT and Artificial Intelligence.

The Romanian businesspeople attending the fair had numerous working meetings with companies and representatives of the public administration in Australia, but also with companies from the countries in the area, in order to get acquainted with the rigors of an unexplored market and to identify, at the same time, the most suitable business partners.

The Romanian exhibitors also participated in the series of conferences organized within the event in order to define some of the development strategy elements of interest in this field, having as main topics Big Data & Analytics, Cloud, eGovernment, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Cyber ​​Security.

With an estimated audience of more than 15,000 visitors, CeBIT Australia’s 2018 edition under the motto “The Future of Business Technology”, records 324 participants from 19 countries, including 6 (Romania, Australia, Indonesia, Pakistan, China, India) national flagged. Along with the Romanian exhibitors, companies from other European countries (UK, Germany, Lithuania, and Portugal) also participate in CEBIT Australia 2018, the EU flag encompassing some of the regional IT projects.

The Romanian presence at CeBIT Australia 2018 is part of the government’s export promotion strategy on non-EU markets and benefits from financial support through the Export Promotion Program.
