2,102 paid-up settlements under the Start-Up Nation Program in early July 2018

PRESS RELEASE

Payments made under the Start-Up Nation Program 2017 were transferred to 2,102 beneficiaries by July 6, 2018.

Half of the settlements under the Start-Up Nation 2017 were submitted by the beneficiaries. I thank the 3,819 entrepreneurs who have responded to our request and filed their settlement files. We want to make these repayments as quickly as possible to the other last year’s edition beneficiaries so we can launch the 2018 edition as soon as possible. Colleagues in the Regional Agencies keep in touch with those who have to take their money to speed up submissions. The money is in the accounts and awaits them“, Minister for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Radu Ştefan Oprea, said in Cluj.

Minister Oprea participates today in Cluj at the “Stimulating the start-up of small and medium-sized enterprises Start-Up Nation 2, North West Region, South-East Region and South Muntenia Region” POCU / 256/3/7 / 118809 project launch conference organized by the Cluj Agency for SMEs, Investment Attraction and Export Promotion, where he had a dialogue with the business environment focused on opportunities for starting new business locally.

The event is part of the series of consultations with the business community for the harmonization of public policies in line with local development realities, but also for the better valorization of the zonal potential in the implementation of the ministry programs and the reduction of the economic disparities between the country regions.

Minister Oprea and Employees of the Cluj Agency for SMEs, Investment Attraction and Export Promotion made on this occasion an analysis of the implementation status of the Start-Up Nation 2017 program in the Cluj area, where 1,021 settlements were submitted, 638 were approved and 618 paid.

On July 6, 2018, 3,819 files were filed for settlement. Of these, 1,497 are undergoing checks, 220 are undergoing certifications, and 2,122 settlements are paid.

The deadline for submission of settlement files is 29 September 2018 and the last payment to the program beneficiaries will be made by the end of December 2018.

The Start-Up Nation 2018 launch time will mainly be influenced by the speediness of disbursement of funds for the 2017 stage, financial and human resources being available for this purpose.

The Start-Up Nation 2018 program will run in accordance with 3 procedural principles designed to facilitate beneficiaries’ access to finance, namely simplification, transparency and uniformity.
