The volume and diversity of Romanian products in the field of furniture, interior design and home decorating will grow on international markets through the partnerships agreed by the Romanian companies at the Mebel Moscow International Fair.
Ten companies in the field of furniture, interior design and home decorating exhibited, on November 19 – 23, 2018, at one of the most prestigious international exhibitions in the field of modern, artistic and classic solid wood furniture, “Mebel”, Moscow.
Together with the Romanian producers, the Secretary of State within the Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Paula Pîrvănescu, and the Romanian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Vasile Soare, attended the opening of the event and discussed with the producing companies delegations the specificity of the local furniture market and the opportunities it offers for the Romanian products exhibited.
The Romanian companies representatives’ discussions with distributors and agents attending the event laid the foundations for the expansion and diversification of the Romanian products offered for export by means of establishing trade and partnership relations with companies from the international markets.
The Romanian presence at the Moscow fair confirms the quality and timeliness of the domestic furniture, design and interior decorating products. The Romanian companies exhibited classic, artistic and contemporary solid wood furniture – living rooms, various furniture, upholstered furniture, stained glass, artistic mosaic paintings and semi-precious stones projects.
The official opening of the event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Furniture Manufacturers Association and the Association of Forestry Producers and Exporters in the Russian Federation.
The Romanian companies present at the fair, Amik Wooden Toys, Bucin Mob, Carel Woodworks, Mobex, Mobila Dalin, Simex, Eurosimex, Sculptura Secuiasca, Maer Import Export and Mozaic Vitralii, exhibited together with 552 companies from the Russian Federation and 82 other companies from 28 of the world’s states.
At the thirtieth edition, the “Mebel” International Fair in Moscow is considered to be the most important trade fair in the Russian Federation and one of the global events, held annually at the Moscow Exhibition Center “EXPOCENTER”.
The participation of Romanian companies at this international fair was organized by the Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, together with the Association of Furniture Producers in Romania, under the National Export Promotion Program, partially funded from the state budget.
